Sonoma Isles sits at the intersection of I-95 and Highway 706. It’s about 20 miles north of West Palm Beach. Across the highway, you’ll find Jupiter Country Club. This private country club is one of the top clubs in the entire Jupiter area. The clubhouse is beautiful, and members enjoy a wonderful on-site restaurant and lighted bocce ball courts, along with an 18-hole championship golf course that measures almost 7,300 yards from the back tees. Travel east on 1-95, and you’ll quickly reach several restaurants and multiple grocery stores. You’ll also find several banks and other retailers in this area. Keep going to the west, and you’ll travel through downtown Jupiter. The beach itself is only a 15-minute drive away.

2. What amenities does the neighborhood have?


You’ll find a fitness center, resort-style pool, and spacious clubhouse on-site at Sonoma Isles. There is a shared fire pit and an outdoor barbecue grill that all residents can enjoy. The resort-style pool offers multiple lap lanes if you want to get in a swim workout. The heated spa is the perfect spot to relax or unwind at the end of a long day. The activity room in the clubhouse gives you a space where you can enjoy various games with friends and family. You can also head outside to the shared tennis or pickleball courts to exercise your competitive spirit. Almost every homesite offers a direct view of the lake, so you won’t have to go far to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. If you want to give your kids a chance to burn off some energy, you can walk them to the Tot Lot for fun, interactive playtime.

3. What are the schools like?


Sonoma Isles is located inside Palm Beach County School District. Their schools regularly receive positive reviews. Nearly 190,000 students from Pre-K to 12th grade attend public schools in Palm Beach County, and 87% of students from the district will graduate and go on to attend colleges such as Florida Atlantic University and the University of Central Florida. Students score an average of 1140 on the SAT and 25 on the ACT. Nearly 65% of teachers in the district have spent more than two years in their current position.

4. What are the best restaurants nearby?


Lewis Steakhouse is located less than three miles away from Sonoma Isles. They are passionate about helping each person experience incredible food served by a caring and attentive staff. Their featured dishes include the 9oz filet mignon and the beef flight for two. They also offer an extensive wine list and several handmade cocktails to choose from. They are open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., except for Sundays when they close at 9 p.m. You can book a table for your upcoming visit by calling the restaurant directly. Join their VIP club to receive a 10oz sirloin dinner each year on your birthday.

You’ll also enjoy Peru Wok Cuisine. They serve a wide selection of pastas, seafood, salads, soups, and entrees. Guests rave about the Lomo Saltado with steak and sauteed onions, along with the Ravioli al Pesto. Peru Wok Cuisine is closed on Mondays but opens at noon Tuesday through Sunday.

5. What will I do for fun?


You can golf at one of the nearby courses or use the clubhouse amenities. You can also head over to Riverbend Park to kayak through the river or ride on horseback through the hiking trails. During February and March, you can head over to Roger Dean Stadium to watch the MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins prepare for their upcoming seasons. Travel across town to the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, and you’ll have a chance to watch the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros train in their own facilities. Each of these ballparks hosts minor league teams throughout the year, and these may be games you want to attend. You are also a short drive away from all of the attractions and activities in West Palm Beach. If you're going to head down to Miami, the drive should take you less than two hours.

6. What is the weather like?

Florida is known for its pleasant year-round climate, and Jupiter is no exception to the rule. Owners of Sonoma Isles real estate regularly enjoy warm summers and mild winters. Temperatures can reach the 90s in July and August, but the average daily temperatures don’t exceed 85 degrees most of the year. You’ll especially enjoy December, January, and February. While most states experience snow and freezing temperatures during the winter, the average high temperatures in Jupiter range between 75 and 77 degrees during these months. Average lows vary between 57 and 61 degrees. The summers can be a little wet and rainy, but you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the beach along with all of your other favorite outdoor activities.
